OVERVIEW

Jeffrey was born in the United Kingdom in 1970 and after travelling around the UK spent his formative years in the 1980s living in South Africa, and the Gambia, West Africa. This was an important experience for him contributing directly to developing a lasting interest in understanding the 'global picture' as well as a love of travel, outdoor pursuits and appreciation of other cultures.

Following completion of his Masters degree and P.h.D. scholarship (to study strategic decision making theory) he joined the US based world's oldest management consultancy firm Arthur D. Little as a consultant in the Strategy & Organisation Practice where he was involved in consulting to a number of blue chip companies and government agencies, in the UK and mainland Europe and was the global competency expert in 'managing complexity' - using exotic tools and methods to work with Clients.

During the "dot.com" boom he joined a listed Swiss strategy consulting boutique, Think Tools AG which specialised in strategic decision support techniques using a propriety software tool suite alongside classic consulting skills. In his final role as Consulting Director he had P&L responsibility for developing Client engagements and leading the international consulting effort in Europe, the United States and Asia.

More recently he has spent five years as a key member in the Group Business Development team of a UK FTSE250 support services company specialising in providing a range of services to the UK Ministry of Defence and the wider public sector. During the time in the role he was involved in many activities, not least of which was the targeting and execution of an acquisition which has doubled the size of the business in terms of profitability, turnover and staff, corporate strategic planning, campaign planning and execution for key projects and creating an investor relations function.

Currently he is the North American correspondent for Great North News Services, Executive Editor of GlobalVision Magazine, Research Director of the UK Defence Forum and Managing Director of consulting firm Complexity Management International.

He currently lives in the United Kingdom and personal interests include the arts, current affairs, reading, sailing (RYA Day Skipper shorebased certification), photography and socialising with friends.
