PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE - COURTAULDS TEXTILES
Between 1989 and 1991, I was employed in a junior role as part of the payroll team at the Midlands headquarters of Courtaulds Textiles, Childrenswear Division. The position involved the generation of a weekly payroll for 2,500 staff using daily piecework records from multiple locations in the region.
Analysis of these records provided the basis for generating management reporting figures which I was responsible for distributing, and with time learning to interpret for senior management. I left Courtaulds to pursue an undergraduate degree in International Relations at Staffordshire University.
