Resume: Dr. Jeffrey Bradford
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE WHILST COMPLETING HIGHER EDUCATION
Whilst at University I spent vacations in employment in a number of organisations ranging from administration at a logistics and supply chain management firm to construction sites in the Midlands.
Whilst reading for my Doctorate, I participated in the instruction of courses including the Msc Corporate Security course, Masters of Defence Administration course and both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Defence Logistics Management.
Additionally, I participated as a facilitator in a private venture consultancy exercise for 18 months with the British Army Land Command. This project was conducted for the British Army's Land Command (HQ LAND), located at Wilton, near Salisbury over a two year period. The project involved facilitation of monthly workshops to resolve issues related to the imposition of a new accounting regime known as RAB between military and civil service members of the Commander-in-Chief Land's command team.
My role was as to act as facilitator as well as support the other faciliator by capturing information and providing feedback on the qualitative 'mood' of the participants through the sessions, to better tailor our response.
All these experiences reinforced my interest in applying my academic development to solving practical problems in the commercial world. In turn, my successes stimulted me to become a management consultant on completing my Ph.D thesis as opposed to pursuing career options in academia.
